Why are you working in this industry? As a Certified Public Accountant and with my experience (Accountant, Payroll Manager, and Deputy CFO) in the Public Sector, I like to ensure that public funds are being used accurately and in compliance with all policies and regulations.

What was your first summer job? Working in the valet parking at one of the busiest hotels in Puerto Rico.
What is the best advice you have ever received? We always fall at some point, so you can learn how to get up and don’t fall with the same obstacle.
Where will we find you enjoying your hard-earned time off? Coming from Puerto Rico, you will find me in places that involve water (ex. Lakes, Rivers, etc.) and/or looking for great food places
What is an accomplishment that shaped your career? Achieving the CPA certification gave me the confidence to trust in myself.

My father and mother, Luis Alayon and Maria Romero are living in Puerto Rico.

I have 2 older sisters. Rose lives in Puerto Rico with my two nephews (Delwing and Alan). Mara lives in Del Rio, Texas with her husband, my nephew (Rogelio) and her three dogs.

I have lived in Abilene since 2019. I have two Dogs, Rooster (Boxer) and Penny (Siberian Husky).
