Business: Hendrick Health System
Job title: Director, Marketing and Communications
Why are you working in this industry? I originally pursued public relations, advertising and communication as a way to incorporate creativity into my career. But I love that in healthcare, I also have the opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of my community.
What are three daily habits that have helped you to become successful? Start early. Prioritize priorities. Connect with others.
What is the best advice you have ever received? Treat every person you meet with honor.
What was your first summer job? The Air Force brought my family to Abilene in the late 90s. Immediately after high school graduation, I took my first summer job as a small computer technician for the 7th Supply Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base.
Where will we find you enjoying your hard-earned time off? During my time off, I’m either making memories on a trip with my family, experiencing unforgettable food or heading out for a run with friends. Often, you’ll find me checking all those boxes at Disney World.
