Age: 35

Business: Cisco College; Owner: b. marie bakery

Job title: Agriculture & Business Pathway Leader; Agriculture Professor

Why are you working in this industry? I am passionate about agriculture education. I love having the opportunity to inspire future agriculture industry leaders and helping them achieve their goals and dreams. Their success is both rewarding and fulfilling.

What are three daily habits that have helped you to become successful?

1. Prioritizing family time

2. Continuously learning

3. Always working to improve

Who is the person who most influenced you in business? My parents, Tommy and Karen Stewart. I learned the value of hard work from my dad whose work ethic is astounding and unmatched. My drive and determination for success comes from my mom. She taught me that I can achieve anything and that success isn’t given, it’s earned. Lastly, my husband has taught me to remember where I started, be proud of where I am at, and most importantly enjoy the ride.

What is the best advice you have ever received? If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.

What was your first summer job? I worked at Par Country Club as a dish washer and server before I could drive.

Describe yourself in one word. Tenacious

If you were to give one piece of advice to someone starting out in your field what would it be? Start each day with the same passion, grit, and determination as you did on day one.
