Why are you working in this industry? I like the thought of the things I choose to do every day having a direct or indirect positive impact on the people around me

What are three daily habits that have helped you to become successful? Doing things that are uncomfortable (both mentally and physically). Read. Kiss my wife.

Who is the person who most influenced you in business? My dad who started and ran a small bakery in Plano out of nothing for 20 years.

What is the best advice you have ever received? How you do anything is how you do everything so pay attention to the small stuff. Also, finish what you start.

What was your first summer job? Mowing yards when I was in middle school with my dad after he’d already been up for nine hours running his bakery. He’d come home exhausted. We’d load up the truck and mow yards the rest of the day.

Where will we find you enjoying your hard-earned time off? Either at our place in Lometa, Texas, on the beach, or riding my mountain bike.

If you were to give one piece of advice to someone starting out in your field what would it be? It’s advice I would give to anyone starting in any profession and something that the great Dr. Charlie Marler told me – READ EVERYTHING YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON.
