Business: Coca Cola Southwest Beverages
Job title: Sales Center Manager II
Why are you working in this industry? At first this was just another job to help pay bills and to support my family. Coming to work for Coca-Cola I quickly saw a unique culture where people convert their passion into action. This is the kind of key attributes you want to find with a “career”, not just a “job”. The kind of competitive compensation you would expect from a world leader. I wake up every morning loving the people I work with, the vision my company has, and most of all, enjoying what I do every day. Every job has a career inside of it, it’s up to you to make it. I’m excited to say I’ve found my career.
What are three daily habits that have helped you to become successful? 1) Always have a goal in mind, and write it down where you can see it every day. 2) Passion is everything, show it! 3) Be a person of your word, follow though!
What is an accomplishment that shaped your career? As a leader, you can know everything you need to know to be successful in a career and have the credentials to back it up. But it’s not worth anything until you create a solid culture and server those who work for you.
What do you want to be doing in 10 years? Continuing to lead and develop people to have the right tools to succeed in their careers and life.
What was your first summer job? Mowing yards when I was 12 years old.
Describe yourself in one word. Determined
If you were to give one piece of advice to someone starting out in your field what would it be? Always have a goal. Write it down somewhere you can see it every day. You will accomplish what you set your mind towards.
